Our purpose!

We are a support and play group for families brought together by the miracle of adoption. Whether you adopted from another country, through foster care, had a private adoption or adopted a member of your own extended family. Transracial, bi-lingual, single moms, same sex parents or traditional families. We welcome you all to be a part of this group so that our kids can have peers that reflect what they see in their own families. Our goal is to schedule large group activities at parks, play places like monkey business, or potlucks and BBQ's at our homes. Hopefully through these activities you will be able to make connections with other families that become life long friendships. Please feel free to invite other families who may be interested in joining our group!

Starting Up!!!

I want to invite all of you to be some of the first people in our group. As soon as we have a short list of families to get started we will schedule our first activity. It will probably be a potluck at my home. I would love it if you all would join us. You either know me or Michele or both and have adopted or are in the process of adopting children. We do not care at all what form your family takes. If you are single, traditional, same sex, mixed race etc. etc. We believe all of these families are beautiful and want our own children to be exposed to all of the wonderful kinds of families there are out there. To quote the big purple dinosaur, "A family is people and a family is love that's a family!" Please know that we welcome you all with open arms. Our own families are a mix... I have african american and hispanic nephews and nieces as well as homosexual friends and family members, and I myself am a single mom. Come one come all, this is a group based in acceptance and love of all kinds of adoptive families. Please email me if you are interested in becoming a part of our play group. If you are friends with or know of other families you would like to include, please feel free to invite them and give them my email.
